Eagle Senior Lunch Program
Anyone 60 and over are invited to lunch on Tuesdays. We are meeting at the Lutheran Church until a new or remodeled community center is built. The cost is $3.50. We to know how many are coming by the day before at 9 am. She has a sign up sheet at lunch for each week so you don't have to call every week. There's a small group who stay after to play cards. People younger than 60 can also eat with them, they pay a little more. Call with questions 402)214-8227.

The playground equipment on the east side of the park will be temporarily closed-- beginning the afternoon of September 29th-- for landscape improvements. Work is estimated to take 4 to 5 days (weather permitting) & the playground will reopen upon completion. Thank you for your patience!

Trick or Trot

On October 28, 2017, Eagle Elementary, in Eagle, Nebraska, will be the site of our annual Fun Run comprised of a 5K and a one-mile student run. To add to the fun for the second year we will have a Halloween theme - “Trick or Trot” - and encourage participants, volunteers and spectators to wear costumes. Prizes will be awarded to the best dressed participants! Every entrant will receive a t-shirt and free refreshments. The top five men and women finishers in the 5K will earn gift certificates. Students participating in the one-mile run will also be entered to win raffle prizes.

The Louisville Area food bank will have new hours beginning Sept. 7th
The Louisville Area Food Bank will be open on the first and third Thursdays of the month from 6-7 p.m.
beginning on Sept. 7th.
The food bank is located in the First Christian Church 304 Main St. next to Copple's in Louisville.
Low income residents are welcome to come to the twice a month give away. Please bring a box to put items in.
This food bank is for residents of the Louisville Public School District.

Cass Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is currently recruiting CASA advocates to speak up for the best interest of abused and neglected children in Cass County.  The next training session is scheduled to begin October 1 and will run for five weeks.  The training consists of 15 hours of online training and 15 hours of in-person training.  We are also seeking male volunteers for this class as over 60% of our CASA children are males.  If you are interested, please contact Debbie Green at (402) 296-9521; email dgreen@casscasa.org or if you would like to learn more information about our program, please visit www.casscasa.org
