People of Eagle
Meet Rhonda Halvorsen
I have decided to start a new section in the Eagle Newsletter each week. It will be featuring a person in our community. I feel like sometimes we can get so stuck in our own world that we don't get to know the people that we see every day. You know how I feel about volunteers and small business owners so I am sure I will be featuring several of those but there are no "special" qualifications to be featured. I want us all to get to know our neighbors.
If you are like me, you see tragic things happen and wish there was something you could do to help...but sadly that is usually as far as it goes. I was really impressed last year when Rhonda saw a need and stepped up to do what she could to meet the need. She founded Crihstian's Cause, Inc who's motto is "Saving Children, One Life Jacket at at Time". The goal of Crihstian's Cause, Inc. is to raise awareness of water safety, by supplying children with a life jacket. Check out their Facebook page to keep up on drop off locations, and upcoming events. She will be at Lake McConaughy on the 27th. The community raised over $2000 for their event!
Want to help? They accept new and used life jackets and charitable donations. Together we can ensure they have money for clearance life jackets at the end of summer. CLICK HERE for the Facebook page.
When Rhonda isn't out bringing awareness to water safetly she likes to crochet but says she hasn't done any projects in awhile. She is fond of camping, adores snuggles with the grandkids, enjoys helping out at local boutiques like Patina Joe and Savannah Nicole. She loves to cook but says it isn't much fun with the kids gone.

Special thanks to dvine dsign for creating this flyer. You can learn more about them on their Facebook page CLICK HERE.
*I need your help...If you know of someone in our amazing community that should be featured please email me at editor@eaglenebraska.com so I can reach out to them. TIA!
