Meet Alex Franta
I have decided to start a new section in the Eagle Newsletter each week. It will be featuring a person in our community. I feel like sometimes we can get so stuck in our own world that we don't get to know the people that we see every day. You know how I feel about volunteers and small business owners so I am sure I will be featuring several of those but there are no "special" qualifications to be featured. I want us all to get to know our neighbors.
Hi, I'm Alex Franta. I'm 20 years old. I'll be 21 in December. I went to Job Corp and shortly after I came back I moved here to Eagle. That was three years ago. Some hobbies I like include: swimming, fixing things, fishing, experimenting with food, and playing video games.
I have helped with the Kid's Carnival at Eagle Days and the Back to School Bash in the past. I love helping people out and try to do so probably more than I should sometimes.

Seeking Applicants for the Eagle Parks & Recreation Commission
Do you have an interest in parks and outdoor recreational facilities? Do you have ideas of new equipment or facilities for our local park?
The Village of Eagle is currently seeking applicants for appointment to the Parks & Recreation Commission.

Mosquito Abatement at Eagle Municipal Park
ABC Termite & Pest Control will be spraying for mosquitos on Tuesday morning, September 10th. They ask that residents stay out of the park from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.
Cajun Chicken & Veggies
Ingredients:
- 2-3 boneless skinless chicken breasts cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1 large zucchini chopped
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 bell pepper chopped
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon EACH garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, oregano, salt ground onion (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper optional
Directions:
- Pre-heat oven to 450F.
- Cut 4 sheet of foil into long rectangles (about 12''x12''). Set aside.
- Combine all the ingredients in a large bowl. Spoon mixture evenly onto the 4 foil sheets. Fold and seal foil.
- Place foil packs on a cooking sheet and bake 20-25 minutes.
- Serve chicken from foil packets. Be careful when opening packets; steam is trapped inside.
