People of Eagle
Meet Tracy Masek
I have decided to start a new section in the Eagle Newsletter each week. It will be featuring a person in our community. I feel like sometimes we can get so stuck in our own world that we don't get to know the people that we see every day. You know how I feel about volunteers and small business owners so I am sure I will be featuring several of those but there are no "special" qualifications to be featured. I want us all to get to know our neighbors.
I'm 44 years old, work in Missouri Valley, Iowa for the last 4 years. Tim and I have been married for 11 years, we have 4 daughters, a son-in-law, 1 soon to be son-in-law (in September), and 3 grandsons. We have lived in Eagle 9 almost 10 years. I am a Girl Scout leader in Lincoln, love watching these girls learn and experience so many new thing, and I have come to really enjoy crafting (when I have time) my middle daughter bought me a cricut last Christmas, and I'm really starting to enjoy it.
This year I have started to get involved with Eagle Vision, I prepare rocks for EagleRocks painting hiding posting on the Facebook page- had a table going during the Kids event at Eagle Day, I am working on bringing a car show back to town for Eagle Day next year. Really exited about that. I am a REFIT® fitness instrutor. We hold classes during the week (at the Lutheran Church) and then I also have another class that is Free on Saturday mornings at Bailey's Local. My co-instructor (Bonnie Campbell) and I wanted to bring a place for women could come and feel comfortable, workout, and meet others. This is why we came up with the name You Be You. In these classes I have met women that I probably would have never met, and we have become great friends.
I own 3 Mustangs. My oldest is a 66 ( that was my dream car when i was younger). 😀 I am a person that will be the cheerleader for anyone, shoulder to cry on, and so much more. I love living in Eagle, so glad I'm finally getting more and more involved.
*I need your help...If you know of someone in our amazing community that should be featured please email me at editor@eaglenebraska.com so I can reach out to them. TIA!

2019 No Limits Fall Activism Summit
Big Tobacco has a long history of marketing its deadly products to youth through manipulation and deception, and we’ve seen it all and had enough of it! As youth, we have the voice of change in this world and the power to make a positive difference. By using our voice, we will continue to stand up against Big Tobacco, bringing attention to the environmental impacts of tobacco products and marketing toward youth. Youth can empower, help guide and provide our peers with resources to create the change.
A few of the topics youth will learn about include No Limits and Big Tobacco 101, Big Tobacco’s history of manipulative marketing tactics, the positive difference youth are capable of making, how tobacco harms the environment, and how to take strategic steps in the right direction to make change a reality.
Here’s a quick summary:
When: November 16 – 17, 2019
Where: Divots Conference Center, Norfolk, NE
Cost: FREE (We’ll even pick you up!)
