From Village of Eagle
The Village of Eagle offices and facilities will be closed to the public until further notice beginning March 17, 2020 for the health and safety of our employees and community members.
This is unprecedented territory as we confront a relatively unknown health threat that has impacted our entire nation over the past few weeks. We ask for your understanding and patience as we keep everyone's well-being at the forefront of all decision-making.
During the closure, Village of Eagle residents can still pay their water and sewer bills in the following manner:
- Online at www.eaglene.gov.
- In the drop box attached to the main entrance door at the village office located at 727 S 1st Street
- By calling the village office at 402-781-2748
All other public inquiries can be addressed by calling the village office at 402-781-2748 or by emailing Nick Nystrom at nick@eaglene.gov or Katie McAtee at katie@eaglene.gov.
Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Update from Pastor Brian
Last Sunday I told the people at the Eagle church that I would continue having services as long as people want to come. Then on Monday the recommendation came from the CDC via both President Trump and Governor Ricketts that gatherings of more than 10 people should be suspended. In light of those things and some further information about how strapped our hospitals are already, I think that we need to suspend worship services for at least a couple of weeks and reassess where we are and what guidance is being given as of March 30. I understand that the Lutheran church in Eagle has suspended in-person worship as well.
Georgia Ann also posted an article that appeared in the Boston Globe written by a person in Italy about what they are facing - some horrifying decisions having to be made about who they can save and who they cannot treat - because of a lack of medical resources. I am attaching it to this email and encourage you to read it. We must flatten the curve and reduce the future load on our hospitals and medical people.
Jeanne and I will put a worship service together and will try to have it on the Eagle website for you folks to watch. If everything goes right for us, Jeanne may be able to get it on the website by Sunday morning.
Until we see one another again, keep safe, stay well, use your God-given reason to follow the best medical advice, and remember that God loves you and we do too.
In Christ,
Pastor Brian and Jeanne
