Eagle Elementary PTE held it's Fall Dinner Fund Raiser
Eagle Elementary was the setting for the PTE's Fall Dinner Fund Raiser last week. On the menu was homemade Macaroni and Cheese, Chicken fillet, roll, apples and vegetables. The PTE had baskets the kids could buy a ticket for and a silent auction for the adults.
There was a table set up to give information about Original Art Works. The Original Works program allows you to reproduce your child's artwork onto a variety of different products. Don't forget the deadline for the orders is November 10th! If you have any questions you can contact Chelsey Clifton at chels130@yahoo.com.
There was also a table set up giving parents information about the Safe Routes to School program. Heather Brown was instrumental in organizing parents, School Administrators and Village Board Members to apply for a grant that will provide sidewalks where there aren't any, incentives to get and keep kids walking, a safe route the kids can follow that will have safe houses set up and flashing lights at two of the busiest intersections in town.
The parents could check out the information available, look at what was available at the silent auction and visit with other parents while the kids had a great time playing and running in the gym. One thing that caught my attention was as the kids came into the gym they all took their shoes off! They are trained well!
