3 Days till Christmas!
Congratulations Evan Riley!
Evan Riley, a 3rd grader at Eagle Elementary, participated in a writing contest sponsored by Craig Loeck, a Woods Bros. Realtor. For the past 17 years, Mr. Loeck has sponsored a writing contest for 3rd through 5th graders, and the stories always involve trains. This year’s stories had to have a mystery theme.
Evan wrote a story about Fill Frank who was killed by a train and then his ghost haunted the train. After a famous pilot’s money is stolen from by the ghost, a detective comes on board to solve the mystery. It wasn’t a ghost after all….it was Fill Frank’s brother, Will Frank!
Evan’s story won third place in the contest. He received a t-shirt, $35, and a tour of the Burlington Northern Santa Fe terminal in Lincoln. Congratulations Evan!
