Cass Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is currently recruiting CASA advocates to speak up for the best interest of abused and neglected children in Cass County. The next training session is scheduled for September 2015 for five weeks. The training consists of 15 hours of online training and 15 hours of in-person training. We are also seeking male volunteers for this class. Our mother, Twyla Witt, is retiring from the Nebraska Tourism Commission and we are hosting an open house/retirement party for her on Friday, August 14th, beginning at 5:00 pm at Trina Goeden’s home. (see directions below) If you are attending the office retirement party, please do so, however we’d be thrilled to have you also attend this extended celebration. We know our mother would really enjoy being able to visit with all who know or have worked with her throughout her more than 18 years with Nebraska Tourism. Our Mother has truly had a passion about the entire Nebraska Tourism Industry for more than 37 years when she and our Dad owned the Wagon Wheel Motel & Campgrounds in Broken Bow. She lived and breathed Nebraska Tourism 24 hours of every day and made many friends throughout the whole state. We’d like to also invite everyone who knew our mother when she lived at Malcolm.
