The Eagle Farmers Market will start up for this season the first Thursday in June 2nd, at 4 pm and go until 6:30. We plan to run through the first Thursday in Sept. Applications for new vendors can be obtained at the Eagle grocery or myself. The location will be the same also, the covered area at the park. Questions can be directed to Trisha at efma@akatheart.net.



We want to thank all of the people that applied this year for Miss Eagle and Little Miss Eagle! We want to congratulate Loryn Stroh and Mallory Kreikemeier on being chosen. Both of these girls did a great job on their applications and we are very excited and honored to have them represent Eagle!

Mark Moock was injured during a back surgery and is now off work, in rehab at Madonna and needing his house remodeled for wheelchair access. They have always been there for anyone and everyone..... Cass Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is currently recruiting CASA advocates to speak up for the best interest of abused and neglected children in Cass County. The next training session is scheduled to begin July 24 and will run for five weeks. The training consists of 15 hours of online training and 15 hours of in-person training. We are also seeking male volunteers for this class as over 60% of our CASA children are males. Entries for the 14th Annual Nebraska American String Teachers Fiddle Tune Composition Contest were received from Colorado (Aurora, Louisville, Monument), Maryland (Accokeek), Nebraska (Bellevue, Lincoln), Ohio (Bowling Green), Virginia (Arlington), Washington (Olympia), Wyoming (Cheyenne), Canada (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia)
The results are as follows:

Second Place: Hard Frost, by Steve Scott, Cheyenne, WY
Third Place: Lament for Kelley and Sam, by Steve Lehr, Bellevue, NE
Best Viola Tune: Olive the Dog, by Steve Scott, Cheyenne, WY
The winning tunes will be printed in up-coming issues of Stringing Along, our Nebraska ASTA newsletter.
